ABSTRACT
The compliance of modern instrumentation for leakage detection in underground heat and water supply networks with the requirements caused by the significant overall wear and tear of networks and military operations in Ukraine is analyzed. A comparative analysis of the adaptability to the existing conditions of diagnostics of a common type of devices — correlation leakage detectors from leading manufacturers — is provided. Unresolved problems related to the methods of selection of informative acoustic signals, the presence of powerful sources of interference, the methods of determining the actual speed of propagation of acoustic signals through pipes, etc., are identified. Ways to overcome the identified problems by creating and using new modes and methods of using the devices are proposed. These modes are based on additional parameterisation of the correlation functions calculated in the devices, taking into account the peculiarities of access to pipelines, application of spatial selection of leakage signals, their adaptive filtering, etc.
