AUTHOR AGREEMENT (PUBLIC OFFER) on the terms of publication of a scientific article in the journal “Electronic Modeling”

The Institute of Problems of Modeling in Power Engineering named after G.E. Pukhov of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (hereinafter — the Publisher), on the one hand, and the individual (or individuals) submitting a scientific article (hereinafter — the Author), on the other hand, collectively referred to as the Parties, conclude this Agreement as follows.

1. General Provisions

1.1. This Agreement constitutes a public offer in accordance with Articles 641–642 of the Civil Code of Ukraine.

1.2. Acceptance of this Agreement is deemed to occur when the Author submits the Article to the Journal by any provided means.

1.3. From the moment of acceptance, this Agreement is considered concluded and binding for both Parties.

2. Subject of the Agreement

2.1. The Author submits the Article to the Publisher under the terms of this Agreement for peer review, editorial preparation, and publication in the journal “Electronic Modeling”.

2.2. The Publisher undertakes to review the Article, organize its peer review, and, if accepted, publish it.

3. Copyright and License

3.1. The Author confirms that they are the copyright holder of the Article and possess sufficient rights to enter into this Agreement.

3.2. The Author does not transfer exclusive proprietary rights to the Article.

3.3. The Author grants the Publisher a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to:

  • reproduce and publish the Article;
  • distribute it in print and electronic formats;
  • make it available online;
  • index, archive, and include it in databases;
  • perform technical editing, translation, and formatting.

3.4. The Publisher is entitled to provide third parties with access to the Article in accordance with open access principles.

4. Open Access Conditions

4.1. The published Article is distributed under the terms of the
Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license Creative Commons.

4.2. Under this license, any person is permitted to use the Article provided that proper attribution to the Author and the source of publication is given.

4.3. The Parties agree that the terms of the CC BY 4.0 license shall prevail with respect to the use of the Article by third parties.

5. Self-Archiving Rights

5.1. The Author has the right, without additional permission from the Publisher, to:

  • deposit the Article (including the Author’s Accepted Manuscript (AAM) and the final published version);
  • in institutional and subject repositories;
  • on personal websites and in academic information systems.

5.2. Such self-archiving is permitted without embargo and without time limitations.

6. Rights and Obligations of the Parties

6.1. The Author undertakes to:

  • submit an original Article;
  • not infringe third-party rights;
  • properly reference all sources used;
  • provide accurate personal and bibliographic information.

6.2. The Author has the right to:

  • use the Article without restrictions;
  • distribute it in any manner;
  • include it in other works.

6.3. The Publisher undertakes to:

  • ensure peer review of the Article;
  • inform the Author of the review results;
  • publish the Article upon acceptance;
  • ensure open access availability of the Article.

6.4. The Publisher has the right to:

  • perform editorial and technical editing without altering the scientific content;
  • determine publication timelines and procedures.

7. Liability of the Parties

7.1. The Author is responsible for the content of the Article and compliance with third-party rights.

7.2. The Publisher is not responsible for the accuracy of the information provided by the Author.

8. Termination of the Agreement

8.1. The Author may withdraw the Article prior to its publication.

8.2. After publication, withdrawal shall be governed by the editorial retraction policy.

9. Personal Data

9.1. The Author consents to the processing of personal data solely for the purposes of executing this Agreement.

10. Final Provisions

10.1. This Agreement enters into force upon acceptance.

10.2. All disputes shall be resolved in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine.

10.3. This Agreement is published on the Journal’s website and is publicly accessible.
